Our country has a huge potential of human resources and innovative projects to move towards high-tech level. The prove of this is an exhibition of scientific developments at Kazakhstan National Medical University named after S. Asfendiyarov (Almaty), which was visited by the head of QazInnovations Sanat Akhanov. There were presented big achievements of university scientists. All elaborations are aimed at practical application in medicare and are ready for expansion, production and commercialization. Accompanied by the rector of the university Marat Shoranov, the head of QazInnovations got acquainted in detail with the scientists' projects. Further, the delegation visited the Genomic Laboratory and Vivarium of the B. Atchabarov's Research Institute. During the meeting, Sanat Akhanov emphasized the importance of finding and supporting innovations and technologies that are useful to the country: "We must identify niches, the capability for creating products and services. Understand where and how much to invest." As is known, the Technology Policy Council under the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan has identified the main areas, among them – technological growth in medical sector – MedTech. Joint collaboration with the leading medical institutions will allow a deeper study of the needs, status and opportunities for introducing best practices and innovative projects in healthcare.
