Astana Center for Genetic Research: An innovative breakthrough in healthcare in Kazakhstan

On July 18, the most important innovation forum dedicated to the introduction and development of genomic and omix technologies was held, organized by the National Center for Biotechnology in cooperation with the BGI Group. The event brought together leading specialists and experts from the medical and scientific community to discuss key aspects of the development of biotechnology and innovation in Kazakhstan.

The main points of the forum:

• Opening of the forum and welcome speech: The Forum was opened by Sanat Zholdyhan, Chairman of the National Agency for the Development of Innovations "QazInnovations", who also acted as moderator of the event.

• Speeches by high-ranking guests: Advisor to the Head of State of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zakarya K.D. stressed the importance of scientific and technical activities in the field of biotechnology. Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alnazarova A.Sh. spoke about the role of innovations in healthcare and new growth points.

• Presentations and presentations: CEO of BGI Group Yin Ye presented the company's innovative developments in the field of genetics and biotechnology. General Director of JSC "NH "QazBioPharm" Abduraimova E.O. discussed the company's role in the development of biotechnologies in Kazakhstan and plans for the future.

• Opening of a joint laboratory of Astana Genetic Center and BGI Group: The high-ranking guests celebrated the grand opening of the new laboratory, which was a significant step in strengthening international scientific cooperation and advanced research.

• Panel session on government support: within the framework of the forum, a panel session was held on government support tools for the commercialization of scientific and technical activities, with the participation of the CEO of BGI Group and the Chairman of the National Agency for the Development of Innovations "QazInnovations".
