The innovation sector of Kazakhstan is gaining clearer contours and its scaling is becoming one of the key tasks. Undoubtedly, innovations often give impetus and bring the country to a leading positions in the world market. Currently, various state instruments are open to inventors in the form of grants, subsidies, and the investors support as well.
The regions come to the fore. Strengthening of an innovative idea around the country gives domestic inventors confidence and access to information, educational programs and opportunities to promote their products. In this regard, much attention is paid to the formation of regional innovation ecosystems, in particular the creation of business incubators, research laboratories and prototyping centers. This direction is being successfully implemented thanks to the joint work of QazInnovations and Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry.
To bring comfort and freedom to inventors’ activities, a “single window” is created for them based on the e-gov principles. Such decision was made during the second meeting of the Technology Policy Council under the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, chaired by Prime-Minister Alikhan Smailov, held on December 14, 2022.
The single window will become a transparent system for scientists, innovators, startups, potential investors as well, where the latest data and updates on all kinds of support, rules for participating in grant competitions, legislative, documentary aspects, etc. will be available. Including promotion and commercialization of scientific results, as well as innovation analytics and integration into international scientific, educational networks.
